We aim to make booking and choosing accessories for your holiday as painless a process as possible. You are sorting a relaxing holiday after all, and stress should be no part of it! Sadly there are some boring practicalities, so will try to keep them to the point.

Once you have made the reservation, we will send you the documentation detailing the insurance terms and the extras you may wish to choose to add to your booking.
The hire price includes the hire of the van, fully comprehensive insurance for the first driver, unlimited mileage, mains hook up, cutlery, crockery, cooking equipment, road atlas and a cleaning kit as standard. There are lots of extras you can add to this, just look at the EXTRAS page to choose what else you would like. These do not necessarily cost extra, but we will need to know if you want them or not!
Taking the plunge: Booking!
When you confirm you are happy with the terms and that the extras are correct, we will contact you to confirm the total cost of your hire. This will be the hire charge, plus any additional costs due to driving history or any extra equipment you may have chosen. You will also need to tell us about any points on your licence and confirm that the driver is over 25 years of age. Drivers may have points (please call to discuss) but we can’t hire to drivers under 25 or over 70 years of age. Sorry about that...
The reservation becomes a confirmed booking when we receive the non-refundable booking deposit of £150. We can take payment. You can pay by bank transfer, cash, cheque, or in person with a card.
The balance should be paid 42 days before the hire period commences, or if there is less than 42 days between enquiry and hire, at the same time as the date confirmation deposit. The fee will not go up between placing a deposit and final booking.
A £500 security deposit is held while the van is on hire and is refundable on the safe return of the vehicle and its contents. This is payable by BACS transfer, credit/debit card or cheque. Unfortunately we are charged 2.75% on card transactions so the £500 deposit (which is returnable to you on safe return of the van) costs us £13.75 and the hirer pays this fee (sorry!!) The security deposit can go up if you have more than two, 3 point endorsements on your license (it normally rises to £750).
Our vans are set up so that your holiday begins when the rubber hits the road: your extras will be on board, you will be given a guided tour of where everything is and how things work. We have camped in these vans a lot so hope to include all those annoying things you didn’t realise you might need when camping until you do....

Periods of Hire
Our usual hire periods are:
Weekend shortbreak: Friday 14.30 to Monday 10.00 am
Midweek shortbreak: Monday 14.30 to Friday 10.00 am
Week: Friday 14.30 to Friday 10.00 am / Monday 14.30 to Monday 10.00 am

You can park your car at our workshop at no extra cost. Your car will be parked at your responsibility. The yard is locked overnight.
Age of drivers and range of travel
You can hire one of our vans for use in Great Britain if you are aged between 25 and 70 years old. You will need to have held a full driving licence for 2 years before the hire period commences. The vans shouldn’t be taken abroad. Scotland doesn’t count as abroad, feel free to visit!!!
Well behaved and house-trained pets are welcome! There is a £22.50 fee per hire. Please remember that parked cars and camper vans can get really hot in warm weather dogs and other animals shouldn’t be left unattended in the camper.
In the event of breakdown
In the unlikely event of a breakdown, all the vans have full breakdown cover. There will be details in the van when you hire it. A charged mobile phone is probably a good idea for any holiday emergencies, not just potential camper-related ones!
